My World Upside Down 🙃

[Poetry]

For all the joy and fun you’ve brought,
For all the patience that you’ve taught,

For all the magical moments real,
For all the love you’ve made me feel.

For the host of emotions the sight unfurls,
When your tiny fingers around mine curl.

For making my heart outside me beat,
When I watched you wobble first on your feet.

For the innocence in your eyes I see,
For all the things they say to me,

For their innate sparkle in sun or rain,
For your eagerness in things mundane.

For the precious pearls of white you flash,
That effortlessly erase my daily hash.

For the laughter you bring when I’m down and sad,
For the funny face when I yell at you bad.

For creating all the mess around,
For turning my world upside down.

For the crazy things you make me do,
For the priceless memories I create with you.

For your sweet nothings that say so much,
For the innermost chord they always touch.

For your tender impression in my heart so deep,
For making my life truly complete!

Words aren’t enough to say how lucky I am,
It’s overwhelming and rewarding just the same.

For if I was offered all of the world’s pleasures,
It’s Motherhood that I’d still treasure!

[Musings]

They say romantic love is a thing of the past,
But when I look into the depth of your eyes, I know that ours is here to last.

‘Actions speak louder than words,’
I wouldn’t have understood the meaning better,
If it hadn’t been for every look and touch and thing you do,
That mean more than a hundred words put together!

You stood on my doorway, a stranger in sight.
You stepped inside, no longer able to hide,
The pain and longing dulling your beautiful eyes.
As I held you close,
From every reality I rose.
With the stars and heaven around us,
Feeling an angel in your arms,
I promised that I’ll always love you,
No matter where in our lives we go.
For you’re my dream come true…
Everything I’ve ever wanted and more.

It’s only after tasting bitter that you appreciate sweet,
It’s only after experiencing failure that you truly learn.
It’s only the sunset everyday that promises a beautiful dawn.
Just like a few days of loneliness, doubles the pleasure of being one.

Every night I wake up in my sleep,
I stretch my hands to touch you,
Only emptiness I feel.
From every memory of you I try to refrain…
And with bitter longing burning inside,
To slumber I go back again.

Your ocean of love has taken me to paradise,
A hundred times and more.
A part of me desperately wishes to remain there,
But the game cupid has played is impossible to ignore.
I could be your angel forever…
Only if myself into two I tore.

There are many things that make me happy,
Many that make me cry,
But by far the worst one,
Is after being with you for sometime,
You go your way, and I mine.

Intimacy and desire

I am a sucker for romance. Some of you might already know this by now😊. Last week I found most of these ‘love notes’ in an old diary of mine. I wanted to bring them all together and create a soft copy, so putting it in my blog was a good idea.
